Holidays in the Theme Parks: Epcot

Living in Orlando, we have a lot of options when it comes to holiday tourist attractions and theme parks. My favorite is Epcot! Each year the park puts on an International Festival of the Holidays with storytellers and food from around the world! The story of Christmas is told by a celebrity narrator while being backed by a 50-piece orchestra and choir. You can even meet Santa! What is not to love?!

While I have heard people say that Epcot is not the best place for kids, I couldn’t disagree more, especially this time of year. There is a Holiday Cookie Stroll (yum...cookies) and a fun scavenger hunt where you can search for Olaf’s that are hidden all around World Showcase. And when you voyage on Living with the Land there are fun glimmering greenhouses covered with lights to delight the whole family.

And let’s talk about food – past the cookies, the Holiday Kitchens feature delicious yuletide favorites from around the world. Some of my go-to items are the Cheese Fondue in Germany, the Potato Latkes at L’Chiam!, and Bûche de Noël in France. And let’s talk drinks – a Frozen Hot Chocolate Martini, Glühwein, and a Chocolate Peppermint Shake? Sign me up!

The Epcot International Festival of the Holidays is my favorite festival of the year and one that really puts me in the holiday spirit!
